Jane Patricia Dietrich, Former Abington Memorial Hospital Nurse
Dietrich was also the President of the Nurses' Alumni Association at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital; her funeral Mass is today.
Jane Patricia (Ryan) Dietrich, of Blue Bell, died Wednesday, Nov. 27 at her home surrounded by her family. She was 74.
Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late William F. and Catherine V. (Delaney) Ryan. She was the wife of Gerard “Jerry” L. Dietrich for 50 years.
She worked as a nurse at Abington Memorial Hospital and Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. Most recently, she was the President of the Nurses’ Alumni Association at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by four daughters, Mary Ellen Dietrich, Anita Lobley, Rosanne Poston and Michelle Melcher; seven grandchildren; a sister, Sr. Dolorine Marie IHM; and a brother, the Rev. William F. Ryan. She was preceded in death by her brother, John F. Ryan.

A funeral Mass will be held Thursday, Dec. 5 at 11 a.m. at St. Helena Church, 1489 DeKalb Pike, Blue Bell.
Interment will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
