Frank C. Norman Sr., Abington High School Graduate

Norman, a U.S. Army veteran, also Owned Frank's Service Station in Horsham.

Frank C. Norman Sr., of Pen Argyl, died Sunday, Jan. 5 at St. Luke’s Hospice House. He was 90.

Born in Abington, he was the son of the late Charles G. and Gertrude J. (Cox) Norman.

Norman attended Abington High School and enlisted in the U.S. Army during World War II in December 1943.

He married his wife, Marian H. (Deane) at Willow Grove Methodist Church in 1944. Norman owned Frank’s Service Station on Route 611 in Horsham, which started as a “Flying A” and later became a Getty.

In addition to his wife, Norman is survived by a son, Frank C.; a daughter, Marilyn H. Walck; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A viewing will be held Thursday, Jan. 9 at 10 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m. at Wetzel and Son Funeral Home, 501 Easton Road, Willow Grove. Interment will be private.
