Edgar A. Waite Jr., U.S. Army Vet

Edgar A. Waite Jr. died Monday, Aug. 5. He was 88.

Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Edgar and Mary (Honicker) Waite.

Waite grew up in Glenside and was the husband of Janet (Betton) Waite. He graduated from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pensylvania, Class of 1949.

Waite served in the U.S. Army and was captured at the Battle of the Bulge.

Waite is survived by two daughters, Amy Klein and Wendy Beck; two step-children, Lynne Gery Womer and William Gery; and two grandchildren, Kimber Beck and Joseph Gery.

A funeral service was held Saturday at Schneider Funeral Home in Hatboro; interment was in Hillside Cemetery in Roslyn.
