Know Your Rights and Risks—a Live Discussion on Social Media and Employment Law

Folkman Law attorney Erica Domingo will be the featured legal panelist in a lively and informative discussion that will address your social media rights and risks in the workplace.

One of our earlier posts, “Can Your Employer Demand Access to Your Facebook Account”, got a lot of people talking. It seems that many citizens are unaware of just how much social media laws vary state by state. We’d like to change that by answering your questions on social media as it relates to employment law on Tuesday, March 26 at 12:30pm.

For example, did you know that in New Jersey, an employer can’t even ask if you HAVE a Facebook profile, but in New York, an employer can demand access to your account? On the federal level, there is no consensus on the relationship between an employee's social media usage and his or her job.

Folkman Law attorney Erica Domingo, recognized by South Jersey Magazine Awesome Attorneys 2012 for her expertise and successful practice of Labor and Employment Law, will be the featured legal panelist in a lively and informative discussion that will address your social media rights and risks in the workplace.
