The Perfect Place to Write a Poem

Six Thursdays, from 6:30-8 p.m.,
October 3-November 7, 2013

On Oct. 3, 10, 31 and Nov. 7 we will meet in the Community Room.
On Oct. 17 and 24 we will meet in the Shorday Room

In this six-week poetry workshop, taught by a published poet, we will utilize the resources of the library to find and develop ideas for poems. We’ll discuss how to use research as an important tool—how to begin shaping a poem from the information discovered in a focused library search. Each week, we will work on a different kind of poem, start to craft each one, and discuss together the possibilities of revision.
