Fox Chase Cancer Center Welcomes Former New York Times Editor and Writer George Johnson

Fox Chase’s Cancer Conversations Series
Welcomes Former
New York
Times
Editor and Writer George Johnson

Fox Chase Cancer Center
will be hosting a Cancer Conversations LIVE event featuring author George
Johnson—former New York Times editor
and writer—on Thursday, April 3 at 7:00 p.m. in the Fox Chase Auditorium
(Center Building, 333 Cottman Avenue, Philadelphia). At the event, Johnson will
discuss his latest book “The Cancer
Chronicles: Unlocking Medicine’s Deepest Mystery”.

In his book, Johnson recounts his wife’s metastatic cancer
diagnosis and the journey that followed as he tried to learn everything he
could about the disease and the people who dedicate their lives to
understanding and combating it. What he discovered is an explosion of new ideas
about what cancer really is and where it comes from. In what has been called a
provocative and intellectually vibrant exploration, Johnson takes his readers
on an adventure through the history and recent advances of cancer research that
will challenge what many thought they knew about cancer.
