EXPUNGEMENT CLINIC at Arcadia University (Social Justice Program)

On Saturday, March 15, Arcadia University is hosting a day of social justice that includes an expungement clinic and workshops on the impact mass incarceration has on communities, the psychological effects of prison, and knowing your rights when stopped by the police.

The event, cosponsored by the Black Male Development Symposium (BMDS), Arcadia’s Sociology, Anthropology, and Criminal Justice Departments, Montgomery County Public Defenders, Philadelphia Lawyers for Social Equity, and the Willow Grove chapter of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, is held in two sessions; the workshop portion will run from 8:30 a.m. to noon, while the expungement clinic will run from noon to 5 p.m. Cost for the workshop portion is $10(includes breakfast and lunch); the expungement clinic is offering a Pennsylvania State Police background check, also for $10. The event will be held in the Universities Commons
