Acting Program Scholarship Competition for Kids and Teens:

Meet Casting Directors and Other Industry Guests

Actors Connection recently announced upcoming scholarship auditions for ages 8-17 in Philadelphia. Each scholarship awarded will allow the student free admission into classes during programming in April, where they will have the opportunity to meet and work with casting directors, agents, managers and other top industry professionals.

Auditions will take place at the Hampton Inn Center City Hotel (1301 Race Street in Philadelphia) on Saturday, March 23rd from 1p-6p and are by appointment only. Students will be given commercials to read for the audition and will be judged on the following criteria: presence and energy, creative choices, adjustments to direction and how they handle copy. Interested applicants should email colleen@actorsconnection.com for an appointment.

In addition to these auditions, Actors Connection is holding an invited private school challenge. The private school with the highest average score during these auditions will be awarded a free in-school or after-school assembly.

Since 1991, Actors Connection has been opening doors to NYC's top agents, casting directors, personal managers and print agents. With over 150 seminars, classes, and special events a month, Actors Connection helps performers who are seeking representation, focusing on new areas of the acting business, striving to improve audition skills, and working to grow their professional networks. Actors Connection is headquarted in NYC, with additional regular programming in LA and now Philadelphia.
