In recognition of Fire Prevention Week, the five companies
of the Abington Township Fire Department (ATFD) will host open houses
throughout the week of Oct. 7.
The public is invited to visit any of the companies from 6:30–8:30 p.m. on the following dates:
Oct. 7: Abington Fire Company — 1920
Horace Avenue, Abington
Oct. 9: Roslyn Fire Company — 1128 Bradfield Road, Roslyn

station’s fire apparatus, speak with volunteer firefighters and learn about
fire prevention. Members will also be on-hand to share recruitment information
