Retail theft … Lashawn Shauntee Bean, 21, of Wyalusing Street, Philadelphia, was arrested Aug. 30 at 6:20 p.m. in Bloomingdale’s after Bean entered a fitting room, concealed merchandise, and left without attempting to pay, police said. According to police, a Bloomingdale’s loss prevention officer stopped Bean at the second-floor exit. Bean concealed two Burberry shirts worth a total of $790 — one in her purse, and one down her pants.

Possession of a controlled substance, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness … Martin S. McCorriston, 45, of School House Road, Telford; and Joshua Brown, 31, of North Broad Street, Philadelphia, were arrested Aug. 26 at 8:22 p.m. following a call for a fight at the 19th Hole on Jenkintown Road, police said. According to police, McCorriston and Brown smelled of alcohol. Police found a small circular pill marked “OP” and “30” wrapped in a napkin in Brown’s pants pocket.

Possession with intent to use drug paraphernalia … Dustin Michael Heiser, 35, of Coolidge Avenue, Willow Grove, was arrested Aug. 24 at 4:34 p.m. after he was seen riding a bike far too small for him near the corner of Rothley Avenue and Woodland Road, police said. According to police, Heiser was jumping from the curb to the street and at one point rode toward a couple pushing a baby carriage, forcing the couple to the curb. Police found pipe with marijuana residue in Heiser’s possession.

Possession of a controlled substance … Brianna Leigh Taylor, 25, of Russett Drive, Warminster, was arrested Aug. 20 at 2:20 a.m. at the Lenfest Building in Abington Memorial Hospital following a report of drugs on a patient, police said. According to police, during a gown change a hospital employee found two syringes and several blue wax paper envelopes in Taylor’s gown and several more bags in her purse.

Taylor said she had the items with her when she was admitted.

At the station, Abington Police found 24 blue wax paper envelopes (eight were marked with the disabled person symbol; 13 were marked with the word “Finlandia;” and three were unmarked). Police also found six unmarked, small red bags; two clear and green bags marked with the Playboy Bunny logo; and two syringes. All of the packaging contained a powder residue. The Playboy bags contained confirmed heroin; the red bags contained confirmed cocaine.

DUI … Harvey Carroll, 54, of North 11th Street, Philadelphia, was arrested Aug. 18 at 2:05 a.m. near the corner of Old York Road and The Fairway after he was seen driving 60 mph as he headed southbound on Old York Road on a wet road, police said. According to police, Carroll said he had two beers, he failed two field sobriety tests and had a blood alcohol content of 0.153 percent.
