Dancing, music and an over-sized stuffed goose filled the Willow Grove Wawa store Thursday morning as the store celebrated 45 years of service to the community.
After associates led customers in dancing and clapping, Wawa officials honored long-time customers with free gifts, including T-shirts and coffee mugs.
The store, which is located at 425 W. Moreland Road in Upper Moreland Township, is giving away free coffee all day Thursday.
During the celebration, Wawa representatives presented a $63,171 check to ConKerr Cancer. Funds were raised through an in-store coin collection earlier this year.
For her part, Upper Moreland resident Rosa Burton said she bought "thousands" of cups of coffee at the store since it opened 45 years ago.
The dancing and clapping Burton said she spends "every day" in the store.
