Mitch offers a short take on Hatboro's La Fontana restaurant

You could stand on a corner and look around until a restaurant sign draws you in. But we've got a better idea. Each week, Abington Patch picks a great restaurant either in town or nearby that is worth checking out. Here's this week's choice:

Set squarely in Hatboro’s thriving village center, right on Old York Road, La Fontana has been a mainstay “go-to” dining spot for over 14 years.  It has achieved this staying power in the restaurant business, a business not known for longevity.

First of all, it offers what I consider Americans' overall favorite food – Italian. (After all, our nation is even named after an Italian: Amerigo Vespucci, the explorer.) Seriously, is there a more delicious cuisine, all things considered, on the planet?

La Fontana has presented its loyal customers over the years with a varied menu of consistently fresh, tasteful Italian cuisine, maybe not at the high-end gourmet level, but above your typical neighborhood Italian red-sauce comfort food place, and at reasonable prices.
