Cheltenham Art Center to Hold Figure Drawing Open Studio

The Cheltenham Center for the Arts will hold a figure drawing open studio event Saturday, May 25 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Colleen Hammond will be the guest moderator.

Hammond, who paints in oil, showcased her Artist in Residence exhibit last year at the art center with “The Portrait Project, One Hundred Oil Paintings, 2011-2012.”

The event will give artists the opportunity to work from a nude model to improve their drawing skills. Poses will start at 2 to 3 minutes and will extend to about 20 minutes.

This is a monitored class but instruction will be available on request. 

The cost for the class is $15.
