Willow Grove NAACP Youth And College Council Helps Seniors with Tech

The organization visited McKinley Memorial Baptist Church.

The Willow Grove NAACP Youth And College Council held its Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service project at McKinley Memorial Baptist Church in Willow Grove earlier this week.

The task? Helping seniors with technology.

The “Seniors in Sync” program helped older adults learn to use their electronic devices, such as iPhones, iPads and Kindles, as well as email, Facebook and other social media websites.

Pastor Marlon Millner of McKinley Memorial Baptist Church came up with the idea for the creative service project, with the help of Yvette Hoffman, Youth Director at McKinley.

The event was co-sponsored by Office Max in Willow Grove, who also had representatives on hand to provide tech tutoring.
