Glenside Parade in Pictures

Check out who was on Easton Road Thursday afternoon for the parade.

The 110th Annual Grand, Glorious, Patriotic Parade (as it’s called by the Greater Glenside Patriotic Association) is in the books.

Residents and visitors lined the 1.5-mile parade route late Thursday afternoon to catch a glimpse of marching bands, fire trucks, community groups and local officials.

There were also a healthy spattering of parties thrown by those lucky enough to have homes on Easton Road.

The parade — and the fireworks display that followed — were paid for entirely by the nonprofit GGPA and its donations; the day takes about a year to plan and the cost is about $50,000.
