State Sen. LeAnna Washington, D-4, will hold a free, drive-through paper shredding event on Saturday, Nov. 16
The event, which is free, will happen at Crestmont Park, in the corner of Old Welsh Road and Reservoir Avenue in the Willow Grove section of Abington from 9 a.m. until noon, or until the shredding vehicle has reached capacity.
It’s open to constituents in Washington’s district; businesses are not eligible.

Constituents are encouraged to bring items such documents containing their Social Security number, bank statements, credit card applications and balance statements, canceled or unused checks, insurance and income tax records, and other personal documents that they would like to securely destroy.
Documents may contain staples, but constituents are asked to remove all other paper clips, binder clips, and other fasteners from the documents prior to shredding.
