Penn State Abington Forward Named NEAC Player of the Week

The Horsham resident is the reigning North Eastern Athletic Conference Player of the Year.

The North Eastern Athletic Conference named Penn State Abington’s Mike Marvin as its Men’s Basketball Player of the Week.

Marvin, a junior forward, is the reigning NEAC Player of the Year and led the Penn State Abington Nittany Lions to a 2-0 week with averages of 25 points, 13 rebounds and two assists per game. He also shot 56 percent from the field.

Marvin contributed in the Nittany Lions’ 99-74 win over Penn State Lehigh Valley on Wednesday, and posted game highs of 24 points and 12 rebounds while shooting 6 for 6 from the free throw line.

On Saturday, he had a double-double with 26 points in the Lions’ victory over Cairn on Saturday.

Through four games, Marvin leads the NEAC in points and rebounds per game.
