Looking to Save Money? Hit Up the Roslyn Fire Co. on Sunday

Abington Commissioner Lori Schreiber will host “Flourishing in Challenging Times,” an event meant to help residents save money, at the on Sunday, Oct. 16 from 1 to 3 p.m.

The event will showcase representatives from PECO, AARP, Penn State Abington, State Rep. Josh Shapiro’s office, Abington Memorial Hospital, Rep. Allyson Schwartz’s office and the Abington Environmental Advisory Council.

There will also be giveaways, health screenings, home improvement demonstrations by Diane Handy Ma’am, and free smoke detectors.

Schreiber said during Thursday’s Abington Board of Commissioner’s meeting that the event will help those who are trying to make ends meet, adding that it will provide residents with some creative ways to help stretch budgets.
