Why go: The Women-Owned Business Network is for women who are and who aspire to be entrepreneurs. The group provides practical information and resources to start, grow or sustain a successful business. The meetings are held on selected Wednesdays. Bring your own meal, or buy one from the college’s snack bar. The meetings begin with networking, followed by a workshop.

Why go: The community college invites the public to attend a career fair, featuring up to 20 area businesses and organizations looking to recruit part-time, full-time, temporary and seasonal employment, as well as internships.
Where/When: Abington Memorial Hospital, 1200 Old York Road, Abington; Feb. 4, and every Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Why go: Do you know your number? Have you cholesterol tested at Abington Memorial. Blood tested on site; no appointment or fasting necessary.
Where/When: Abington YMCA, 2001 Old Welsh Road, Abington; Feb. 7 and every Monday from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.
Why go: Active Older Adults (AOA) get together every Monday to catch up and enjoy coffee in the Y lobby.
