Where/When: Abington Free Library, 1030 Old York Road, Abington; Feb. 3 at 7 p.m.

Why go: The final session in the series for students who are seeking admission to independent high schools, colleges or employment. Learn tools for successful interviews, and create a strong resume and portfolio. Get skills to speak confidently in an interview or on a written application.

Where/When: Montgomery County Community College, 340 DeKalb Pike, Blue Bell; Feb. 9 from 5:30 to 8 p.m.

Why go: The Women-Owned Business Network is for women who are and who aspire to be entrepreneurs. The group provides practical information and resources to start, grow or sustain a successful business. The meetings are held on selected Wednesdays. Bring your own meal, or buy one from the college’s snack bar. The meetings begin with networking, followed by a workshop.

Pricing: Annual membership is $20

Where/When: Montgomery County Community College, 340 Dekalb Pike, Blue Bell; Feb. 3 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Why go: The community college invites the public to attend a career fair, featuring up to 20 area businesses and organizations looking to recruit part-time, full-time, temporary and seasonal employment, as well as internships.

Where/When: Abington Memorial Hospital, 1200 Old York Road, Abington; Feb. 4, and every Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Why go: Do you know your number? Have you cholesterol tested at Abington Memorial. Blood tested on site; no appointment or fasting necessary.

Pricing: $8

Where/When: Abington YMCA, 2001 Old Welsh Road, Abington; Feb. 7 and every Monday from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.

Why go: Active Older Adults (AOA) get together every Monday to catch up and enjoy coffee in the Y lobby.

Take the easy way out - for about $20 plus or minus with tip go to the Mexican guys in Quakertown.Read More They are on the south bound side where the old battery warehouse was - directly across from the big car wash on 309. They did my SUV for $25 including generous tip - inside and out, dressed the tires and did the windshield about 3 times! These guys are fantastic and really do a great job for the money.
