Learn more about the 'creatures of the night.'

Montgomery County Parks and Heritage Services Division’s Green Lane Park will host “Creatures of Night – the Amphibians” on Friday, March 22, beginning at 6:30pm.

"Join special guest and amphibian enthusiast, Andrew Curtis, for a close up look at local frogs, toads, and salamanders in their natural habitat," said a release from Montgomery County office of communications director, Frank Custer. "After a brief indoor program, participants will venture out to some local vernal pools to observe these amazing animals up close.

The county had some suggestions for those that plan to attend.

"Waterproof boots and flashlights are recommended," said Custer. "The program will meet at the picnic pavilion in the Deep Creek Area of Green Lane Park, 2144 Snyder Road, Green Lane, PA 18054."

This is a free program. Spaces are limited and preregistration is required.

For more information and to preregister, please contact Kevin Crilley, Environmental Education Specialist, Parks Region II, Montgomery County Parks and Heritage Services Division, at (215) 234-4528 or email him at kcrilley@montcopa.org.

Take the easy way out - for about $20 plus or minus with tip go to the Mexican guys in Quakertown.Read More They are on the south bound side where the old battery warehouse was - directly across from the big car wash on 309. They did my SUV for $25 including generous tip - inside and out, dressed the tires and did the windshield about 3 times! These guys are fantastic and really do a great job for the money.
