Don't Trash Campaign Signs, Recycle Them in Montco

Campaign signs can be recycled for free after Election Day in Abington

As Election Day approaches, campaign signs are springing up all over Montgomery County. The signs encourage voting on Nov. 5, but what happens to them on Nov. 6? Instead of disposing of campaign signs in the trash, they can be recycled and the metal and plastic reused to make other products.

Montgomery County Recycling will again partner with ReCommunity Recycling and Cougle’s Recycling, the Montgomery County Democratic and Republican Committees, and participating municipalities to collect and recycle all campaign signs, stakes, and posts this election season!

This collection program does not seek to take the campaign sign clean up responsibilities away from the campaigns. Instead, the program hopes to connect candidates and home owners with drop off points so that signs can be recycled instead of thrown in the trash.
