Dog Walk and 5K to Benefit Animals
The run in Maple Glen will benefit the Shirley Schriftman Fund.
On Sunday, Aug. 18, grab the pooch and head to Maple Glen for Shirley's Run, a 5K beginning at Maple Manor Swim Club on Dillon Road for adults and children, and a dog walk.
The 1-mile dog walk will include prizes for biggest dog, smallest dog, oldest, best dressed, best trick, longest distance traveled and more.
The 5K Run and 1 Mile Dog Walk will benefit the Shirley Schriftman Fund for Animals. Schriftman lived on Dillon Road in Maple Glen until her death in 2009. The fund makes donations to local organizations that either rescue animals or train them in service to the community.

Pre-registration will be held on Saturday, Aug. 17 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Ross Schriftman Insurance, 1250 Easton Road. in Horsham. Race Day registration begins at 7:30 through 8:15 a.m. for the 5K and runs until 9 a.m. for the Dog Walk.
