Briar Bush: Where Does your Food Come From?

The nature center will hold a 2-part discussion on the topic starting tonight.

Briar Bush Nature Center will host a 2-part discussion starting tonight called, "Food, the Environment and You: Sustainability for Healthy Living."

The discussion will touch on food nutrition, our food supply and the effects on our health and the environment. 

Theresa White, of Temple University, who has master’s degrees in public health and social work, will lead the discussion.

Part one, which starts tonight at 7 p.m. and runs to 8:30 p.m., will present the basics of what people need from food, and how it makes its way to our tables; part two, which happens Feb. 12 at 7 p.m., will examine the environmental and health concerns with typical food sources and presents alternative options. 

The event is free to members; $3 for non-members.
