Abington Board of Commissioners, Tonight

The Abington Board of Commissioners will meet at the township building at 8 p.m.

  • The board will consider a motion to approve a 5-year lease of the second floor of Alverthorpe Manor to the Old York Road Historical Society. The annual rental payment would be $6,100 and an additional $600 for utilities. 
  • The board will hold a public hearing on the placement of portable storage units and Dumpsters. A proposed ordinance would require permits for the placement of such units on properties in the township. A permit fee would cost $25. 
  • And … the board will likely discuss replacements, and may appoint a replacement for former Abington Commissioner and now-State Rep. Madeleine Dean, D-153.
