Rotary Youth Exchange

Have you ever considered being part of one of the most successful international student exchange programs – Rotary International? Since 1929 Rotary Youth Exchange has provided a once in a lifetime opportunity for high school students to broaden their education and world understanding by letting them live in the US with a host family and attend school here.

The local Rotary Club is sponsoring a student who will come here and attend high school for a year. We are looking for families interested in being Hosts for one semester. Not only would you provide an unforgettable service to a student from abroad, but you also will educate your family about the world around them.

One student, Min Gyu is a boy from South Korea. He has been waiting 5 years to become an exchange student. He is a good student, enjoys music, astronomy and basketball. His favorite subject is physics. While living here, he wants to visit the Smithsonian Museum. That should be a pretty easy goal to achieve living here!

Andy is a 16 year old student from Taiwan.  His favorite activities are math and basketball.  His father is a surgeon.  He’s visited the US before, and two of his older sisters have been exchange students so he has heard a lot about the experience.

Rotary provides orientation for both the students and Host Families, and support throughout the year. As a host family, it is your responsibility to provide room and board for the exchange student.
