Lee's Hoagie House partners with College Settlement/Kuhn Day camp to collect gently used sports equipment

ABINGTON, PA – The two Lee’s Hoagie Houses of Abington and Horsham have joined with The College Settlement and Kuhn Day Camps of Horsham to collect gently used sports equipment. All of the items will be used by children at their summer day and resident camps – located on 235 acres in Horsham. Donations will be accepted at either of the two Lee’s Hoagie Houses at 1656 Old York Road in Abington or 870 Easton Road in Horsham between now and April 26.

As part of this program on Saturday, April 26, area residents are invited to bring their prized sports collectibles for a free appraisal by memorabilia experts, Jeff Stevens (Baseball Hall of Fame) and Ted Taylor (longtime hobby columnist and author) at Lee’s Hoagie House 870 Easton Road in Horsham between 11 AM and 2 PM. The first item will be done free while additional items (up to four) will cost $5 each. All monies collected that day will go toward the purchase of new sports items to be used at the camp.

All proceeds of this event will benefit The College Settlement and Kuhn Day Camps of Horsham summer day and over-night camp programs. The mission of the non-profit is to provide fun-filled camping experiences to young people from the five county Philadelphia area and particularly those from low-income families. For more information about the camp visit www.collegesettlement.org or call Jan Finnegan at 215-542-7974.
