Eighth Grade Teacher at Queen of Angels Regional Catholic School, Willow Grove, PA wins NCEA Distinguished Teacher Award

Congratulations Mrs. Melissa Feilke on receiving the NCEA Distinguished Teacher Award

Mrs. Melissa Feilke, our eighth grade teacher at Queen of Angels School, was named the NCEA (National Catholic Education Association) Distinguished Teacher Award.  She will receive the award at the annual NCEA Convention held in April in Pittsburgh.

Loving, caring, nurturing, creative, and energetic all describe Mrs. Feilke. Making her classes enjoyable, inspiring, and captivating, Mrs. Feilke incorporates strategies that bring the lessons to a greater student understanding.  Mrs. Feilke excels in the understanding, utilization, and teaching of technology.  Often seen with an iPad in her hand, she displays her notes and teacher created videos on the board.  Mrs. Feilke goes far beyond the call of duty to bring a positive spirit to our school.  Mrs. Feilke not only volunteers to run programs, she initiates the program itself.   Mrs. Feilke is truly deserving of this award.  Congratulations Mrs. Feilke. You make us very proud all the time.  Queen of Angels is blessed to have you on our faculty.
