Create a Nature Superhero Day at Briar Bush

Sponsored by  GrayHaven Comics, a local comic book publishing company, and organized by Abington Commissioner Lori Schreiber, Create A Nature Superhero Day is a fun-filled event that will have children using their imaginations AND artistic skills to make their own nature-themed superheroes.

GrayHaven writer & editor Marc Lombardi, a Roslyn resident, will help guide kids of all ages in drawing their characters and coming up with their heroes’ origin stories.

Art supplies will be provided and participants are also encouraged to come in costume or wear superhero-themed t-shirts if they wish.

During the event, children will:

• Learn about nature, reading and what it means to be a hero

• Create their own superhero using a character sheet

• Draw their hero

• Create their own Superhero Mask!!!

A special surprise will also be given to all children who participate.  Fun and education all rolled into one super-powered package!

The cost is FREE and the event will take place on SUNDAY, AUGUST 25TH from  2PM – 3:30PM at the Briar Bush Nature Center.
