New Butterfly Garden

The Abington Township Shade Tree Commission building on Easton Road is sporting a new garden area.  Girl Scout Grace Campbell put in a butterfly garden as part of her Silver Award project.  She and her team prepared the garden area, planted a spicebush, marigolds, and columbine, and cared for the garden over the summer.  The Silver Award is the highest honor a Cadette Girl Scout can receive and requires 50 hours of work on the project.   For more information about butterfly gardens see www.gardenswithwings.com.  For more information on Girl Scouts see www.gsep.org You can learn more about the Shade
Tree Commission on the Abington Township Environmental Advisory Council’s
