The Native American Way
Learn about the people who lived here long ago. See some of their tools and the natural things that they used in their everyday life. Touch the pelts of animals that they hunted. Walk to find wild plants that were used for food and medicine. Ages: adults and children ages 6 and up. Pre-registration by phone is required.
More About Lorimer Park
Lorimer Park consists of more than 230 acres of woods and wildlife. The park is also home to the historic Council Rock, which folklore says hosted the meetings of Native Americans. Lorimer Park is available for a variety of outdoor activities, including horseback riding, hiking, bird watching, picnicking, sledding, cross-country skiing and fishing.
