Join us for the 11th year of our successful buddy reading program. Young readers will be paired with young adults to practice reading skills over the summer. It's fun--children gain confidence in their reading ability, and young adults inspire a new generation of readers!

Who can participate?

YOUNG READERS in K-2nd grade

YOUNG ADULT VOLUNTEERS in 6th-12th grade (Earn service learning hours!)

The program runs from Monday, June 18 to Tuesday, July 31, 2012.

Reading Sessions: Mondays from 6-7pm, Mondays from 7-8pm, Tuesdays from 10-11 am, Tuesdays from 6:30-7:30 pm

This program is FREE!

The Abington Free Library is the largest library and the most visited library in the  Montgomery County Library and Information Network Consortium (MCLINC), which comprises more than 30 libraries. It employs 65 people and has more than 100 volunteers. The library has an extensive children's book collection on the lower level, as well as more than a dozen computers and a room for lectures and presentations.
