The Village Players of Hatboro wil l be holding open auditions for the zany comedy\, "The Fox On The Fairwa y" by Ken Ludwig. The playhouse is a local\, community\, nonprofit organ ization dedicated to the performing arts for over 60 years. All work is voluntary.\n \;\nThe auditions are open to anyone. No experience is needed. In fact\, first timers are encouraged to try out for the show. M any of our productions feature actors in their debut performances. If yo u're looking for a place to get your foot in the door for some theater e xperience\, this is the place. Mark your calendars\, auditions will be h eld on Sunday July 8th at 7:00 p.m. and Monday July 9th at 7:30 p.m. The following folks are needed:\n \;\n1 male and 1 female 20 &ndash\; 3 0 age range\n2 males 40 &ndash\; 50&rsquo\;s\n2 females 40 &ndash\; 50&r squo\;s\n \;\n \;\nHENRY BINGHAM (mid 40s): Director of the Quai l Valley Country Club. He is witty \;and cynical at times\, much lik e Basil Fawlty from Fawlty Towers. He gets into \;a high-stakes bet on a golf tournament and is determined to do what it takes to win. He is also \;unhappy in his marriage to Muriel and becomes involved with Pamela.\n \;\nPAMELA PEABODY (39): A member of the Quail Valley Coun try Club. She is very attractive and sophisticated\, but a bit loose and a bit of a drinker. Throughout the play she aids Bingham in his plans t o make sure their club wins.\n \;\nJUSTIN HICKS (25): Bingham's new eager-to-please assistant who volunteers his services as a golfer to hel p Quail Valley win \;the golf tournament. He is romantically involve d with Louise and proposes to her early on\, but becomes emotionally dis traught when things become difficult \;between them.\n \;\nLOUIS E HEINDBEDDER (23): A waitress at the Quail Valley Country Club. She is very attractive\, and a bit flighty\, but studious. She gets engaged to Justin early on\, but a mishap results in her becoming very upset over t heir future together\, making her bawl at a moment's notice.\n \;\nD ICKIE BELL (mid 40s): The director of the rival Crouching Squirrel Count ry Club\, with whom Bingham gets into a high-stakes bet. He is a bit obn oxious\, including his fashion sense\, but tries to come off as good-nat ured. He is Pamela's ex and \;has a thing for \;Bingham's wife M uriel.\n \;\nMURIEL BINGHAM (40s): Bingham's wife\, who runs an anti que shop\, which becomes part of the bet between Henry and Dickie. Gener ally overbearing and stern\, she somehow has a soft spot for Dickie.\n&n bsp\;\nNo monologues. No experience needed. First time actors are warmly welcome. Production runs three weekends in October 2012. \; Auditio ns will be a cold read from the script. Rehearsals will begin right away .\n \;\nIf you are looking to get experience in other areas of theat er: set construction\, lights and sounds\, props\, make-up\, etc.\, all volunteers are welcome.
