Join the park naturalist for our annual fall mushroom walk. Learn which mushrooms are edible and which are regrettable. Fungi play an important role in our ecosystem. Find out why. We will collect and identify most of the mushrooms we find. Ages: adults and children 8 and up. Meet near the ranger hut.

More About Lorimer Park
Lorimer Park consists of more than 230 acres of woods and wildlife. The park is also home to the historic Council Rock, which folklore says hosted the meetings of Native Americans. Lorimer Park is available for a variety of outdoor activities, including horseback riding, hiking, bird watching, picnicking, sledding, cross-country skiing and fishing.
