Camp Salamander is an environmental education camp for children who are finished 1st-5th grades sponsored by Montgomery County Parks and Heritage Services. Everyday we do a different nature topic starting with a short lesson and followed by games and activities that reinforce learning. Daily hiking is included. Your kids will have fun while learning at the same time.Registration forms will be available in January 2011 at the park. You can download them from the parks website: www.phs.montcopa.org or you can contact Ruth King, environmental educator (610-270-0215) or rking2@montcopa.org to have the form mailed to your house. Payment must accompany the complete registration form.We recommend that you sign up early because space is limitied to 15 campers.

More About Lorimer Park
Lorimer Park consists of more than 230 acres of woods and wildlife. The park is also home to the historic Council Rock, which folklore says hosted the meetings of Native Americans. Lorimer Park is available for a variety of outdoor activities, including horseback riding, hiking, bird watching, picnicking, sledding, cross-country skiing and fishing.
