Township to Hold MLK Event
The Abington memorial service is in its 28th year.
The Abington Board of Commissioners will hold its 28th annual Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Service Monday, Jan. 21 at noon in the Abington High School auditorium. The event will feature tributes by local officials and students.
The Montford Point Marines, the first black U.S. Marines in World War II, will receive the Annual Memorial Award.

The Special Recognition Award will be presented to 102-year-old World War II Veteran Richard V. Washington.
