St. Peter’s Glenside Hosts ‘Pint for a Pint’ Blood Drive
Participants of the annual St. Peter’s Glenside church blood drive will receive a coupon for a 'thank you' pint.
St. Peter’s Glenside, located at 654 N Easton Road in Glenside (across from Sloane Toyota), will hold its annual “Pint for a Pint” blood drive, March 15, from 3 – 8 p.m.
According to Kate Boyce, St. Peter’s Glenside blood drive coordinator, the church’s blood drive has become a popular collection drive for the American Red Cross, due to its unique incentives.
Participants of the blood drive will receive a coupon for a pint of one of the following:
- A pint of homemade soup from Peas in a Pod
- A pint of beer from The Glenside Pub
- A pint of Turkey Hill ice cream
- A pint of Rita’s water ice
Participants may also enter a raffle to win a pound of Dunkin Donuts coffee.
“Our church has a huge commitment to the community,” Kate Boyce, who has helped organize the event since 1999, said.
Boyce said that the pint incentives were a way to grab people’s attention, but more importantly, they’re a way to thank participants for donating.
“We have the most awesome people in the world,” Boyce said.
According to Boyce, the pint coupons will be redeemable by the following day, and will be available while supplies last.
