Scientist: Possible to Bring Back Neanderthals
Enough DNA has been recovered to reconstruct a complete Neanderthal genome, but many technical and ethical challenges remain.

Could Neanderthal man walk among us again?
Harvard biologist George Church believes that enough of the DNA that comprised the Neanderthal genome has been recovered from fossils to make a stab at cloning a living specimen. He told a German newspaper that the process would mainly require "an extremely adventurous female human" to be a surrogate mother.
USA Today reported that Church said he was answering a hypothetical question and that he's "certainly not advocating" cloning Neanderthals in a subsequent interview with the Boston Herald.
Perhaps more daunting that the technical issues that would accompany the creation of Neanderthal clones are a long list of ethical and moral considerations.

We've already got more than a few living examples of Neanderthals. North Hills, Cresmont, Norristown, Chester, Philadelphia, Camden, Detroit......... We don't need anymore!
