Roslyn Man Who Allegedly Slashed Roommate Waives Prelim

Police said the Roslyn man slashed his Tyson Avenue roommate over an argument.

The man who allegedly slashed his roommate in the 1000 block of Tyson Avenue last month waived his preliminary hearing, according to a report in Phillyburbs.com.

Jacob Matthew Sosinavage, 22, of Tyson Avenue, was charged with felony aggravated assault and possessing an instrument of crime stemming from an argument with his roommate on Oct. 3.

According to the report, Sosinavage was arguing with another man over a dryer when Sosinavage attacked the man with the knife; the roommate blocked most of the slashes by wrapping a sweatshirt around the defendant's hands, according to the report.

The incident closed Tyson Avenue for about an hour.

See the initial story here.

Sosinavage was also arrested in August near the corner of Easton and Mount Vernon roads for marijuana possession.

Sosinavage is being held in Montgomery County prison on $5,000 bail, according to court records.

Mr. Sosinavage was arrested in August on drug charges and was rearrested in October on Felony Assault Charges. Bail was set once again by Judge Price at 10% of $ 5000.00. Scary is it not? Fortunately the defendant was unable to post the $ 500.00 and sits in Jail.
