RECALL: Gas Grills for Fire and Burn Hazard
Gas grills, sold at Lowe's being recalled.
Master Forge Gas Grills sold exclusively at Lowe's are being recalled for posing a fire and burn hazard to consumers according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission.
"If improperly installed, the hose connecting the gas tank and regulator to the burner control can touch the burner box and cause the hose to melt and rupture when the grill is lit," according to the CPSC recall.
There have been two reports of hoses melting and rupturing.
The recall involved Master Forge four-burner gas grills with a single-door base and were sold exclusively at Lowe's from Nov. 2011 to May 2012.
Consumers should stop using the grills immediately and inspect the grills to make sure the that the gas hose runs along the outside of the grill cabinet and passes through the round hole in the side panel.
