So great Abington commisioners and police, what's the deal with that place ? Doesn't bother you that nothing but trouble there ? There's almost always an unmarked cop car in the lot. That last eminant domain decision was awesome - maybe another failed library will work.

As is my understanding of the map of Abington Township and the surrounding municipalities, the parking lot of the 19th Hole is in Abington Township, but the establishment itself is in Upper Dublin Township. So perhaps your query and suggestion are best addressed to the Upper Dublin commissioners and police.

At least he did not try to cross the intersection at the corner on foot, which is clealy illegal, as indicated by traffic signs. If on foot, one must apparently fly over the intersection in order to pass there legally.

Why is the building in question? Doug was seen in a parking lot not a building. Everyone on the road has access to that lot. Whats next you shake it more than twice at a urinal and its a crime?

Let's see, the parking lot is in Abington, though I would argue part of that lot is in Abington too, and the building itself is in Upper Dublin. Are the owners paying real estate and school taxes to both townships ? The joint is less than 500 yards from a grade school. I'm sure the previous Abington President would never have allowed that place near her nieghborhood. I think her quote on the township web page was addressed as how great Abington is, and anyone who would leave are the losers, oh wait, she moved away to live off the tax dole.

Of course not, that would be terrible, nothing would work there other than a library, but Upper Dublin seems good in that respect. Are they sponsoring any little league teams in Ardsley this year ?

A library? I'd love to see them build a free library there and charge all of the tax payers 147 dollars a year extra to pay for it. Take a look at that parking lot at dinner time ,its full. Tax dollars. Library's are a thing of the past. At least it's not in the nice part of Upper Dublin.

My question is what was the police officers reason for being on the property? Was there a call made for a suspicious vehicle with lewd conduct? The police officer pulling into that lot is no different then them coming to your house and going inside and finding something to arrest you for. Police officers are not allowed to target a business because they don't agree with its morals. Do strip clubs not have the same rights as every other business? If the police are parked in this lot on a regular basis it is considered to be an infringement on the establishment and in this case on the employees that work the because they are private contractors. This is harassment and if the police were not called to this business or if they were not able to see a law being broken from the street then they had no probable cause to be on that property. Maybe the local police department needs a nice law suit with a heavy punitive award to remind them that their job is to uphold the law as defined in the Constitution and not run around like a bunch of vigilantes using their badge to wage personal wars against businesses based on their own personal ideals.

I personally know at least 15 homeowners within 500 yards of that building,none of them have any issues with the business there. Maybe someones spouse spends too much time there!!!

How are children subjected to anything that happens ln that building or lot especially at 2 am. The building has been some sort of bar since the sixtys complaining about that is like moving next to an airport and complaining about the noise!!!!

I'm pretty sure there's abus stop at penn and Jenkintown and penn/Lincoln so kids often walk through that lot only to find spent needles/broken bottles/used rubbers/ weed bags and so forth witch in turn leads too curiosity for many adolescent teens.

I live within 500 yards of this joint and I'd love it see it become something else. I do like that they re-did the exterior though with new paint...it makes that corner look a lot better. I have no issues with the establishment...I just think it should be in a more commercial area...perhaps Old York Road? Why does it need to be smack in the middle of a neighborhood?

I would love to see it as something else too,something I could use, like a nice restaurant. But its not and they have been good neighbors. And dont forget we wouldn't be having this conversation if Doug wasn't exposed to poison ivy and stopped to scratch!!!

So if the same alleged offense was committed in a school parking lot would you be calling for the school to be shut down? Also, the crossing guard has no issue parking in the lot and crossing the children at 2:30 P.M. Just ask her! And finally , the unmarked car that you see parked there almost every day does not have municipal tags and is more than likely a patron or employee's car!
