Gimaro Seafood and Steakhouse in Montgomeryville has a new Patch'd drink.
Local Editor Tony DiDomizio, center, was available to meet and greet Patch readers during an happy hour to launch the new drink.
The marketing and public relations team at MCCC was happy to come try our new beverage.

Local business owner Chris Gimaro, of Gimaro Seafood and Steakhouse in Montgomeryville, recently concocted a delicious new drink recipe inspired by the team behind the Montgomery County region of Patch.

The drink, which Gimaro has dubbed "Patch'd", features a tasty mixture of Sour-Apple Pucker Vodka mixed with none-other-than a Monster energy drink.

"I know you guys are always busy with writing and reporting, so it was important to mix it with an energy drink," said Gimaro. "After all that hard work though, you'll need something stronger to unwind, so I tossed in some apple vodka."

In order to achieve the Patch Green color, Gimaro said he had to add in two drops of green food dye, and by doing so, his masterpiece was complete.

"It is green, but still see-through and clear, because Patch writers are very transparent," said Gimaro.

The drink successfully made its debut during a recent happy hour, which was attended by the Montco Patch team, though it was a duo of Lansdale Patch users who claimed first dibs on the drink.

Though initially comparing the revealing of his recipe to McDonalds releasing the recipe to their special sauce, Gimaro was kind enough to release the info so others can get Patch'd. You'll find the drink recipe below.

Patch'd:

  • 1.5 oz Pucker Sour Apple Sass Vodka
  • 5 oz Monster Energy Drink
  • 2 drops of green food dye
