'Dangerous' Thunderstorm Passing Through Montco

The National Weather Service said the storm could produce hail and 60-mph winds.

 

 

The National Weather Service out of Mount Holly, N.J., issued a severe thunderstorm warning at the top of the hour for parts of Montgomery and Bucks counties. 

According to the warning, the storm is capable of producing quarter-sized hail and damaging winds “in excess” of 60 mph.

The storm will be in the area of Abington/Willow Grove at about 3 p.m.

Per the warning:

“This is a dangerous storm. If you are in its path, prepare immediately for damaging winds, destructive hail and deadly cloud-to-ground lightning. People outside should move to a shelter, preferably inside a strong building but away from windows."
