Beatles Tribute Show Opens in September at Act II Playhouse
"4 Lads from Liverpool" will have its East Coast premiere at Act II Playhouse in Ambler.
The East Coast premiere of “4 Lads from Liverpool,” a Beatles tribute show, will open at Act II Playhouse in Ambler on Sept. 4 and run through Sept. 30.
Performances of the show coincides with the 50th anniversary of the first two sessions of the Beatles recording their first hit song, “Love Me Do” together on Sept. 1 and 11 in 1962.
The show will take audiences on the musical journey of the band, beginning in the band’s early days at the Cavern Club in Liverpool and through the Sgt. Pepper era, and is paired with a “multimedia experience, audiences will get to see, hear and feel how it all got started,” according to a release from Act II Playhouse.
The release goes on to say, “The cast members of 4 Lads from Liverpool are a lineup of professional, veteran musicians who share a rich history and have been performers in past Beatles' tribute shows including Rain, The Fab Four and BeatleMania.”
