PECO Spokeswoman Liz Williamson said this morning that 993 people are without power in the Glenside area of Abington. 

According to Williamson, the outage occurred at about 9:50 a.m. Crews are in the area investigating the cause of the outage, however Williamson did not know the exact location.

“They’re going to have to check the area lines; there might be issues with equipment, or a tree branch may have fallen,” Williamson said today. 

Williamson said she did not know of any other major power problems in the area, or in the county.

“There was a lot of restoration to homes from storms overnight,” she said, “but overall, we’re in really good shape.”
