Abington Against Discrimination and Defamation (Abington ADD) held its Kickoff to Equality: A Celebration of Diversity event this morning at the township building. 

State Rep. Josh Shapiro, D-153 spoke about the importance of having statewide anti-discrimination legislation; he added that he would seek county-wide legislation regarding the subject should he become a county commissioner. 

Abington Township CommissionerLori Schreiber talked about the steps she took to pass a township anti-discrimination ordinance; she talked about the ordinance failing in January.
