Abington Library’s Wired Wednesdays Digitize Patrons’ Experience

Abington Township Public Library patrons can learn about accessing the library's online catalog and eResources.

The Abington Township Public Library wants to help its patrons navigate the ever-progressive march of technology with its Wired Wednesdays program.

Wired Wednesdays takes place every fourth Wednesday of the month at 5:30 p.m. in the library’s Community Room, as well as 2 p.m. every second and third Wednesday of the month.

The program discusses the library’s Online Resources, helping patrons get answers and learn about how eBooks work to the library’s overdrive catalog to patron’s Nook, Kindle, iPad or other devices.

Also, every first Wednesday of the month at 2 p.m., the Wired Wednesday program will discuss the library’s online catalog, patron account and how to use online databases to learn a language, search newspapers, retrace family trees ad much more.

Registration for the Wired Wednesdays program is encouraged, and can be made by stopping at the Information Desk, calling 215-885-5180, ext. 13 or e-mail askabington@gmail.com.
