Abington Key Club Delivers
The high school community service club collects food for the needy during the holiday season.
Since Thanksgiving, Abington Senior High School students collected thousands of cans of food to help families throughout the township.
In mid-December, members of Key Club sorted and packed all of the cans to be donated to families in the area and to New Life Presbyterian Church’s food bank. The Key Club also fundraised through pretzel sales in order to buy turkeys, pies, stuffing and fresh vegetables to be donated to several families for their respective Christmas dinners.
On Dec. 14, Key Club officers and advisors spent the day traveling around Abington hand-delivering food to each family. This year, the club collected more food than it ever has before.

The power to make a difference lives within us all. Congratulations to the Key Club and everyone involved....including those who donated. The smallest acts of kindness, when multiplied with teamwork make a world of difference. Thank you from Team Dawg for being Everyday Heroes!
