Attention to detail is very important to Abington Senior High School play director Kristen Caiazzo when producing Neil Simon’s hysterical play “Rumors.” To that end, Abington Police Detective Robert Allmond was invited to consult with student actors Lauren Bertino, Seth Goldberg and Kyle Sukley who play police officers in the play.
According to Sukley, “This experience working with Detective Allmond is like nothing else. We did research on acting like police officers, but talking with Detective Allmond we learned so much and this is making it very natural and real.”
Allmond gave the actors direction, advice, and body language that they would have never thought of in portraying police officers.
The play starts next week with performances on Nov. 15, 16, and 17 at the high school at 7:30 p.m.

Detective Allmond is a great person and I am sure the students learned a lot from him. We're lucky to have him!

The students and staff at Abington High work incredibly hard on each fall play and spring musical. The upcoming show--Rumors, a comedy/farce by Neil Simon--will be another great effort!
