Hunter Soccer Club launches Hunter Soccer Academy

Hunter Soccer Launches Hunter Player Academy

Hunter Soccer Club of Glenside,PA is proud and excited to announce the formation of Hunter Player Academy in partnership with Future Player Academy and Mattias van’t Hoenderdaal.

Hunter will now provide a formal player development program for every participant in the club beginning at age 4 with the Pee Wee Program. All Intramural ages will now have the benefit of a consistent development program designed to improve skill and enjoyment of the game. The program will run concurrent to the standard Intramural Program.  Additionally, all Travel teams will be assigned a team trainer to improve skill and competitiveness of those teams.

Hunter Soccer Club, celebrating its 50th Anniversary in 2012, is one of the oldest, non-profit clubs in the Delaware Valley and is one of the original founding clubs of the InterCounty Soccer League. We are developing a new
comprehensive player training and development program to build on our current intramural station training program. We will tailor coach and player training to appropriate age and gender needs, all based on guidelines established by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America .

Hunter blends the teaching of individual skills with instructing team tactics and strategies in the playing of the game. There is great emphasis on team work, comraderie,
sportsmanship and discipline. We blend all of the above together with a backdrop of fun.
