With another school year now underway, don’t forget to add signing up for GIANT Food Stores’ A+ School Rewards to your grocery list! Customers are encouraged to once again sign up for the simple school fundraiser and designate up to two local schools in their community to earn A+ School Rewards. Since the program launched in 2005, more than $13 million has been donated to local schools throughout participating markets.
“Every time customers shop using their BonusCard, they can help support the local schools their children or loved ones attend in their community,” said Rick Herring, president. “We are proud to support 2,500 schools throughout the four states in which we operate, and we encourage our customers to sign-up and designate the schools of their choice soon.”
Beginning October 7 and continuing through March 30, GIANT customers can help local schools earn cash for technology, scholarships, school programs, field trips, playgrounds and other educational needs. There is no restriction on what schools can do with their A+ School Rewards, which are accrued with each purchase a customer makes using his or her BonusCard. Last year’s top earning school, Cumberland Valley High School in Mechanicsburg, PA, received $20,007.
To participate in the program, customers must sign up and designate their chosen schools by visiting their local GIANT or at www.giantfoodstores.com/aplus. Shoppers are urged to designate up to two schools as soon as possible so their chosen schools can begin earning points when the program begins in October. Beginning in November, current school totals can be found on the A+ website at www.giantfoodstores.com/aplus.
